Chinatown International Fashion Week (CIFW) premiered its new Spring Season Cine-Fashion on March 5th.
East Glam "Forbidden City Jeweled Beauty" was launched last night, with its 25 beauties, at the Dougherty Valley Performing Arts Center during the annual EL Gala Celebration!
Fashion photography, media art and fashion filming are part of making CIFW Spring shows an unique showcase. This Spring CIFW filming is directed by short film director Weimin Zhang. Press photo is directed by Bob Kozma with participating photographers Linda Lu, Eric Li, Herm Puget and many established Bay Area photographers.
CIFW Pre-production has carried on for months from visualization, conceptualization to rendering three different scenes for the stage. Media art director Joshua Bernstein introduces his music mix and big screen effects by incorporating images of the Forbidden City Palace in China.
The three entire fashion collections for the "Forbidden City Jeweled Beauty" are from Bay Area fashion visionary Monique Zhang based on her story board. Designer tells us her first collection is to describe "the beauty's life" inspired by gemstone colorful spectrum, her second collection is to express "the beauty's mood" inspired by shades of grey in ink brush, and her third collection is to celebrate "the beauty's glory" inspired by the changing nature of the four seasons.
